General Processor Technologies (GPT) is China's only IP licensing company providing CPU, DSP, GPU and AI accelerator cores for a wide range of performance levels, all optimized for heterogeneous computing.

 

GPT designs and licenses embedded processors that are compatible with Heterogeneous Systems Architecture (HSA) for use worldwide. Its patent-pending Unity architecture, supported by powerful embedded Artificial Intelligence (eAI) algorithms, allows customers to optimize cores for a range of applications across autonomous vehicles and intelligent transportation, smart cities, industrial automation, robotics, and machine vision.


The company has nine issued and numerous pending patents in the areas of multi-threading technology, variable length vectors, and other processing related technologies.

 

GPT is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hua Xia GPT, a global corporation with operations in New York, Beijing, Nanjing and Shanghai.

Meet The Team

Kerry Li

Chairman of the Board

Kerry Li is Chair of the Board of General Processor Technologies, and its affiliate company Optimum Semiconductor Technologies (OST). Prior to joining GPT, Mr. Li founded Wuxi DSP, where he  served as Chairman and President of the company which focused on the design of DSP chips. Previously, Mr. Li was engaged in development of advanced automobile electronics and other high-tech products in both China and the U.S. He also worked at JP Morgan Chase, focusing on financial investments. In 2009, Mr. Li was awarded "Young Technology Star Entrepreneur" by Jiangsu Province in China and was elected to China's 1000 Talents. Mr. Li received his M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Wayne State University and his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago. 

John Glossner

CEO

Dr. John Glossner is President of the HSA Foundation and CEO of General Processor Technologies, and its affiliate company Optimum Semiconductor Technologies (OST).  Previously he served as Chairman of the Board of the Wireless Innovation Forum. In 2010 he joined Wuxi DSP and was named a China 1000 Talents. He previously co-founded Sandbridge Technologies and received a World Economic Forum award. Prior to Sandbridge, he managed both technical and business activities in DSP and Broadband Communications at IBM and Lucent/Starcore. Dr. Glossner received a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from TU Delft in the Netherlands, M.S. degrees in E.E. and Eng. Mgt. from NTU, and a B.S.E.E. degree from Penn State. John has more than 120 publications and 36 issued patents.

Gary Nacer

President & COO

Gary Nacer is President and COO of General Processor Technologies and its affiliate company Optimum Semiconductor Technologies (OST). He brings more than 30 years of experience in product development including devices, signal processors and telecommunications products/systems. Prior to joining OST, Mr. Nacer was VP of SandBridge Technologies, and before that he served as a Development Director within the Access Business Unit at Lucent Technologies. He has held various management, leadership and development roles at AT&T Bell Laboratories. Mr. Nacer holds an M.S.E.E. degree from Polytechnic Institute of New York and a B.S.E.E. degree from Pratt Institute of New York.

Mayan Moudgill

 

CTO

Mayan Moudgill is CTO of General Processor Technologies and its affiliate company Optimum Semiconductor Technologies (OST). Prior to joining OST, Dr. Moudgill was Chief Architect and Co-founder of SandBridge Technologies, focused on development of low-power, multi-threaded, multi-core DSPs targeted at running 3G and 4G basebands in software. Prior to SandBridge, he was Software Architect of Advanced DSP technology at IBM's T.J. Watson Research Center and the team leader on IBM's VLIW compiler. Dr. Moudgill received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Cornell University, with a Ph.D. thesis in Compilers. He holds a B.Tech. in Computer Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
